A recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (May 2011), I've come to Montevideo in search of my path in life. This will be part work focused with my internship, part adventure focused with my exploration of Uruguay.

Took a trip to the zoo with Bryn before she had to go to work at Karumbe.  It's a pretty sad institution. Perhaps the worst though is the one loan lion sitting in a nearly empty pool - only about a foot of trash filled dirty water - with the one loan penguin hanging out at the top of this nearly empty pool.   There's trash everywhere on the grounds and in the pools and cages.  Signs are falling apart or are non-existent in places.  

However, Bryn snapped this cool pic of a peacock hanging out by the elephants.
