My Travels to Europe, Australia and beyond

After gaduating from college, I took my first trip to Europe and although it wasn't without its hiccups, I totally enjoyed myself and the travel bug was firmly established. Later, my husband and I traveled to New Zealand and Australia on our honeymoon. We returned a couple years later to New Zealand and threw in Cook Islands to boot.

After graduating from college I took my first trip to Europe.  Although the trip wasn't without its hiccups, I really enjoyed myself and the travel bug was firmly established.  Doing my homework before I left really paid off as we traveled around.  I studied up on the countries and cities I wanted to see, talked to friends who had recently been, and saved my money so that I could enjoyed the spots I loved when I arrived.  First stop was London to visit a girlfriend who had recently married and was living there.  Her husband was doing well in the business world and we had access to a 9 bedroom flat downtown London, we saw the musical "CATS" and enjoyed nice restaurants and drives in the countryside in their beautiful Jaquar car.  From there my good friend and I traveled from Dover, England to Calais, France via the hovercraft, and then by express train straight to Paris.  Although I had traveled with my friend state-side a bit, he turned out to be a difficult foreign traveler and was quite set in his ways with regard to what and how much he ate. On the ferry from Dover to Calais we met two sisters and their husbands from South Carolina and ended up traveling with them for most of our trip.  More to come....
